Organising My Day – Child

Parents will initially need to organise their child’s day as they move from early education into the primary school years. Young children need to take responsibility as soon as possible for their day to build their independence. If your child has a significant disability they will require you to continue to assist with the structure of the day, but encourage them to take as much responsibility as possible.  A weekday will be organised differently in comparison to the weekend. Consider the following to assist you:

  1. Get up and undertake morning routine

2. Prepare for early education/school

3. Travel to early education/school

4. Do my work

5. Go home when the day is finished

6. Complete any homework required

7. Undertake evening routine

8. Go to bed
