Organising My Day – Adult

Adults should be fully independent in managing their daily routine but can still be assisted through schedules to help. If the adult has a significant disability they may require continued assistance with some aspects in the structure of the day, but encourage them to take as much responsibility as possible.  A weekday will be organised differently in comparison to the weekend. Consider the following to assist you:

1. Get up and undertake morning routine

2. Prepare for work or day placement

3. Travel to work or day placement

4. Complete required tasks

5. Go home when the day is finished

6. Complete any home duties required

7. Undertake evening routine

8. Go to bed
