Setting Short and Long Term Goals

In life we all set ourselves challenges and these are sometimes aspirational goals. In setting out to achieve the goal, when shorter goals are set then we often have a better chance of reaching the bigger goal. Setting short and long term goals is a way of managing this. For each person the goal will be different but the journey can still be systematic.  The outcome of any education is to acquire skills and knowledge – social, communicative and academic, that enable an individual to be employed, to be as self sufficient as possible and live happily in the community. You can use a mindmap to help you develop short and long term goals. You will possibly have several short term goals that will lead to the long term goal, the following is an example of two possible goal setting plans.
